According to
Fiorelli –
(translation -The workshop, which comes after, shows a
sign next to the door of tufa stone, exhibiting various tools of a blacksmith ? (fabri ferrarii).
It has an entrance hall which leads into an uncovered area,
followed by a second rustic area that is edged with brick pillars, two of which
held up a roof, facing which, a large lead pipe is seen in the wall to collect
waters from nearby slabs, and lead them into an underground channel exiting
onto the public road. An anfractum that is annexed here leads to another rustic
locality, containing perhaps the latrine.)

According to Della Corte –
“This was a large workshop, in part covered with a roof, but it is not clear what material was worked here.
Fiorelli’s opinion, of a blacksmith, was deduced from the notion given by the tufa plaque, found set in the brickwork to the right of the entrance and in which, near to the usual sign against the charm (evil eye), we see some instruments of the trade of an iron maker.
In a seal/signet found here: L. Livi
Firmi.” (S.57 with Note 2)
